If you guessed the Shrinnito is like the Shrinnow but smaller, you guessed right. The Shrinnow has proven to be an absolutely deadly bait in all waters but there are times when we want to go even smaller. Whether it's around minnows, grass shrimp or for our fly guys, a 2.25" version just sounded right.
We've been tossing this on a smaller version of our sparky jig head (1/0 hook) and as a gummy fly on a 6 or 8 weight fly rod. Whether on the flats and mangroves chasing snook and trout, around structure for snappers or out in the freshwater chasing bass and exotics, this bait has a home in your tackle box.
If you've fished a Shrinnow, it'll go the same just step your weights down by an 1/8-1/4. For fly guys, a size 1 tin tarpon hook has been perfect. Fly tie a wire bait keeper on and you'll have no problem catching multiple fish before re-rigging. Grab some now and see what it's all about.
