This little bait has shown the epitome of elephants eating peanuts. Don't believe us, ask the dinosaur pictured.
The original design of the dock skipper was to run on a weedless hook for skipping docks and mangroves, as the name suggests. The larger tail design allows for a very slow retrieve while still maintaining good action. This allows the bait to stay in the strike zone longer, not relying solely on reaction strikes.
What we found was that people also wanted to run it on jigheads, so we worked up a set that we like for it from 3/8oz up to 1oz. Or if you already have jigheads you like, slap one on and go for a throw.
This bait has also proven a favorite of our freshwater guys. The weedless design works great and the solid thump for its size gets destroyed by bass of all types.
